The paper flyer fluttered through the letterbox and flopped upside down on the doormat.
It read:
Local Short-Fiction-Writer and Poet, in a state of penury and on benefits, seeks a Patron, or Agent, or Promoter able to pay my rent and living expenses.
I have articles published in online and print magazines and journals. I have an notable website at https://hekatejean.wordpress.com. I am experienced in performing my own material with vim and vigour.
Please email me if you want to give me money.
Bella Basura.
Later, the flyer, and other junk-mail, was picked up and recycled in the compost bin.
